Brando Now Offering A2DP Dongle for iPhone, iPod Touch
Last Updated: July 21, 2008: 2:22 PM CST
If you were hoping for support for the A2DP Bluetooth audio stack in the 3G iPhone (this protocol allows for stereo music over Bluetooth in addition to the standard mono Bluetooth headset audio), there isn't much that can be done.
Fortunately, Hong Kong-based accessory maker Brando is filling the demand with the INFINXX AP23, a dongle that plugs into the iPhone or iPhone touch's dock port and allows for a pair of Bluetooth headphones to be synced and allow for both music and phone support. According to Gizmodo, the INFINXX AP23 weighs only five grams and retails for US$62.
If you've tried the INFINXX AP23 or found a Bluetooth dongle of choice for your iPhone or iPod touch, let us know over in the comments or forums.
